What you’ll do

As a backend developer at Klup, you will play a key role in stabilizing and scaling our platform to support our growing community. Collaboration is essential, and you will work closely with the DevOps team to enable seamless deployments and deliver a smooth user experience. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability of our platform, allowing Klup to grow while maintaining performance.

✅ Develop and enhance our Java Spring Boot backend (Java 17).
✅ Work on new features, bug fixes, refactors, and improvements that scale.
✅ Manage and optimize data interactions with MySQL (or similar relational DBs).
✅ Collaborate using Git/GitHub to maintain clean, efficient code.
✅ Ensure stability with high-quality tests (unit, integration, etc.).
✅ Work closely together with Tech Lead Dylan, Product Lead Ivan, Frontenders Agus & Eze and Data Engineer Giannis

What we’re looking for

🔹 4+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot (Java 17).
🌍 DevOps skills (Azure or similar) to streamline deployment & CI/CD.
🔹 Experience working with MySQL (or comparable relational DBs).
📊 Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
🔹 Solid Git/GitHub knowledge for version control.
🚀 A startup mindset—you love autonomy and solving real problems.
🔹 Strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
💡 A proactive, self-starter attitude with a focus on delivering results.
