Full Stack developer

As a Full Stack Developer at Klup:

You will work alongside your colleague, Dylan (backend and data engineer), Agustin (full stack developer) and a front-end app team based in Valencia to further develop and expand the Klup platform. Currently, the platform consists of the Klup app (iOS & Android) and the web app. To thrive in this role, it’s important that you have experience within our stack, including Java Spring Boot, MySQL, React / React Native. We expect you to be curious, proactive, and self-reliant. You’ll develop high-quality code and offer critical insights to your fellow developers. Together with the team, you’ll ensure that the app provides an exceptional user experience (UX/UI), as meticulously crafted by our designer, Nylo.

Here’s a summary of your primary responsibilities at Klup:

• Influence how users use our platform by building new features from scratch. Features on the roadmap: Newsfeed personalization, Upgrading our chat system, Gamification.
• Maintaining and optimizing the codebase.
• Investigating customer support issues.
• Being a social platform and a small company we all require to be involved in business logic and user experience decisions. For example, sometimes you’ll join a brainstorm.
• Together with Dylan and Agus, you will explore and expand the technical capabilities of the platform.

Do you recognize yourself in the following?

• You’re persistent and eager to learn. When faced with something you don’t understand, you’re determined to figure it out, possibly with the help of colleagues.
• You don’t give up easily and are not afraid of making occasional mistakes.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot.
• Experience with  React and/or React Native.
• Experience with MySQL.
• You have at least two years of coding experience.
• You have an entrepreneurial work mindset and enjoy contributing on a strategic level.
• Code quality is your top priority.
• You have knowledge of and experience with GitHub.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a pré)
